Jul 15, 2018 Were trying to get outer tie rod out and broke bolt end in the steering knuckle and now cannot get it out please help.

2009-01-24 · a broken tie rod should not be expensive to have fixed. it's what connects to the wheel to make the wheels turn the same direction. you absolutely cannot drive the car. if it breaks while you're driving you will lose your steering. My outer tie rod end broke on the Envoy.

OK. I bought a cheap 2000$ Volkswagen Fox with a bent tie rod. The front wheels were toed in — so the tires would not wear evenly. And the steering was a bit wonky. I purchased my 2011 Ford Raptor svt about a month ago.
A tie rod END may wear and break but a catastrophic tie rod failure means an outside influence such as a collision, blowout, major road debris, etc. If a tie rod END broke due to wear then one has to suspect that just about everything else in the front suspension is on borrowed time; or already out of time.
